Lemnion Green Solutions has been proudly providing biological systems for the treatment and reuse of wastewater since 2017. We provide solutions based on a proven toolkit configured for specific cases. This toolkit is based on principles of ecological restoration, phytoremediation, and bioremediation. Our team truly connects with our customers and provides the exceptional service they deserve.

Our biggest differentiator is the minimal use of additional energy for operations leading to a significant reduction in OPEX. Some of our solutions also offer an opportunity to harvest additional byproducts such as protein-rich biomass, which has the potential to provide an added revenue stream.

About Us

Our mission is to bestow beneficial services that integrate social and environmental solutions for water treatment and its up-cycling, animal feed, pisciculture, bio-energy, and other environmental advantages.

Stream rejuvenation, IIT Bombay  (2023)

 

A stream carrying water from the lake was rejuvenated in the IIT Bombay campus. This project was done as a part pf World Resource Institute's (WRI) accelerating program TheCityFix labs 2022. 

Project scale: 350 meters

Outcome: Wastewater treatment, upcycled for irrigation and area beautification.

Nallah rejuvenation, Warje  (2023)

 

A nallah carrying domestic sewage was rejuvenated in Warje area of Pune city. This project was done in collaboration with Rotary club of Sinhagad road. 

Project scale: 350 meters

Outcome: Wastewater treatment and area beautification.

River Rejuvenation, Kavathe Mahankal  (2022)

 

Kamandalu river was rejuvenated for the village. This project was conceptualized by Mr. Rohit R. R. Patil. 

Project scale: 2000 meters

Outcome: Wastewater treatment, upcycled for irrigation, biodiversity improvement and area beautification.

Jalshrushti, Mulshi (2022)

 

Ecological Floating Islands were installed in a waterbody at a resort. 

Project scale:  800 sq. m. 

Outcome: Nutrient balance, habitat provision, and area beautification.

Nallah rejuvenation, Kiwale, Pune (2022)

 

A stormwater runoff carrying domestic sewage was rejuvenated near Pune- Mumbai expressway. This project was done in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Walhekarwadi. 

Project scale: 700 meters

Outcome: Wastewater treatment, upcycled for irrigation, biodiversity improvement and area beautification.

14 trees (2021)

 

Wastewater generated in an organization was treated using a constructed wetland system. 

Project scale: 2 KLD

Outcome: Wastewater treatment, upcycled for gardening and aesthetic improvement.

Baalark studios, (2021)

 

Wastewater generated by a sculpture studio was treated using a constructed wetland system and a waterbody. 

Project scale: 2 KLD

Outcome: Wastewater treatment, upcycled for gardening and aesthetic improvement.

 

Nanded village, Pune (2021)

 

Wastewater generated by the Nanded village was treated using a constructed wetland system. This project was awarded a Platinum-rated Green Village under Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) and is now copyrighted.

Outcome: Wastewater treatment, Improved dissolved oxygen, Treated water let into river.  

Nallah rejuvenation, Vadgaon Maval (2021)

 

A nallah was rejuvenated in Vadgaon Maval. This was done for Vadgaon Maval Nagarpanchayat.  

Project scale: A stretch of 250 meters 

Outcome: Water flow regulation, Flood control, Wastewater treatment, Improved aesthetics, Reduced foul odor, and Mosquito control. 

SSBS (2019-2020)

A fabricated treatment system was designed for duckweed-based wastewater treatment. The outcomes of the system were used for research purposes.  

Project scale: Experimental work

Outcome: Wastewater treatment, Upcycled for gardening and flushing. 

Sarasbaug Pond Rejuvenation, Pune (2019)

The rejuvenation of a pond was done using a Public Private Partnership model. This was done for Garden Department, Pune Municipal Corporation. 

 

Project scale: 7000 sq. m. 

Outcome: Nutrient balance attained, Improved biodiversity and aesthetics. 

Ecological floating beds, Pune (2019)

A floating structure with aquatic vegetation was used to treat the nutrient load from the Mutha river flowing behind Nanded city, Pune.  

Project scale: 500 meters 

Outcome: Wastewater treatment, landing, and breeding spots for birds. 

Milk Chilling center, Kondhapuri, Pune (2019)

A duckweed-based wastewater treatment system was provided to a milk chilling center. This project was done for Katraj Dairy. 

 

Project scale: 5 KLD 

Outcome: Wastewater treatment, Sludge decomposed using bacterial culture, Upcycled water reused for irrigation

Nallah rejuvenation, Vitthalwadi, Pune (2018)

Ecological rejuvenation of a nallah was done using a Public Private Partnership model. This was a collaboration project with JeevitNadi- a living river foundation, Pune.

Project scale: 150 meters 

Outcome: Wastewater treatment, Restored habitat, Improved aesthetics, and biodiversity.  

Late Gangadhar Kelkar Samadhi, Pune (2017)

A duckweed based wastewater treatment system was used to treat a stagnant water body with seepage of sewage from nearby vicinity. 

Project scale5 KLD 

Outcome: Wastewater treatment, Better land use, Improved aesthetics, and aquatic life. 

Nallah rejuvenation, Kothrud  (2023)

 

A nallah carrying domestic sewage was rejuvenated in Kothrud area of Pune city. This project was done in collaboration with Rotary club of Kothrud

Project scale: 550 meters

Outcome: Wastewater treatment and area beautification.

Lake rejuvenation, Mumbai  (2023)

 

Wastewater generated in the viscinity of Shantaram talao, Malad was treated using a constructed wetland system. This project was done for Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. 

Project scale: 15 KLD

Outcome: Wastewater treatment, upcycled for gardening and aesthetic improvement. 

Nallah rejuvenation, Shahapur  (2023)

 

A nallah carrying domestic sewage was rejuvenated in  Dhasai village. This project was recognized under SBM(G) 2.0. 

Project scale: 300 meters

Outcome: Wastewater treatment, upcycled for irrigation and area beautification.

Malharmachi, Mulshi (2022)

 

Ecological Floating Islands were installed in a waterbody at a resort. 

Project scale: 250 sq. m.

Outcome: Nutrient balance, habitat provision, and area beautification.

Nallah rejuvenation, Vadgaon Maval (2022)

R.O.A.R. for Mutha , Pune (2021)

 

A small stretch of domestic sewage carrying nallah discharging water in the Mutha river was rejuvenated. This project was funded by and was done in collaboration with Spring CT.

Project scale: 200 meters

Outcome: Wastewater treatment, treated water let into a river, solid waste reduction, biodiversity improvement and area beautification.

KPIT, Pune (2021)

 

An existing concretised pond was enhanced with natural interventions for better habitat creation, native plantation

Project scale:  1700 sq. m. 

Outcome: Ecological landscaping, Native plantation, Habitat formation

Japalouppe equestrian center, Pune (2021)

 

Wastewater generated in an equestrian and camping center was treated using an integrated constructed wetland and duckweed based system. 

Project scale: 6 KLD

Outcome: Wastewater treatment, upcycled for gardening and area beautification.

Women Empowerment Center, Velhe (2021)

 

Wastewater generated by a women empowerment center was treated using a constructed wetland system. This project was done for Sterlite. 

Project scale: 3 KLD

Outcome: Wastewater treatment, Upcycled for gardening.

Hygge Brew, Lavale (2021)

 

Wastewater generated by a food industry was treated using a constructed wetland system, sand and carbon filtration. This system is approved by MPCB. 

Project scale: 1 KLD

Outcome: Wastewater treatment, Upcycled for irrigation.

Government guest house,Indapur (2019-2020)

Wastewater treatment systems were made for a government guest house using a constructed wetland system. This was done for the Public works department of Maharashtra. This system was awarded with 4 star rating by GRIHA. 

Project scale: 20 KLD

Outcome: Wastewater treatment, Upcycled for gardening.

Model green schools (multiple) (2018-2020)

Wastewater treatment systems were made for five residential schools were treated using a constructed wetland and duckweed system. This was done for the Tribal development department of Maharashtra.

Outcome: Wastewater treatment, Upcycled for gardening and flushing. 

Nallah rejuvenation, Vitthalwadi, Pune (2019)

Rejuvenation of a stream of wastewater merging with Mutha river, through natural wetland development and water flow regulation.

Project scale: 250 meters

Outcome: Improved water quality and aesthetics, Improved dissolved oxygen. 

Rollestone, Pune (2019)

A Duckweed-based sewage treatment system was installed for a bungalow, office, and servant quarters. 

Project scale: 7.5 KLD

Outcome: Wastewater treatment, Upcycled water reused for gardening.

Biodiversity lake, Pune (2018)

A duckweed based wastewater treatment, as well as ecological floating beds, were provided to treat the high nitrogenous waste.

 

Project scale: 3 acres  

Outcome: Nutrient balance, Wastewater treatment, Improved aesthetics, and biodiversity. 

IFFCO, Uttar Pradesh (2015)

A duckweed based wastewater treatment system was used to treat sewage from the IFFCO township. 

Project scale: 3 MLD

Outcome: Wastewater treatment, Upcycled water reused for irrigation, Duckweed biomass as protein-rich animal feed.

Dr. Prasanna Jogdeo

Dr. Prasanna has completed his PhD in marine corrosion from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.  He has done his Masters from UEA with duckweed starch estimation as his topic. He graduated from Fergusson College with a Microbiology degree.

Pooja Tendulkar

Pooja is an Environmental Bio-technologist and has been working with duckweed since 2011. She has graduated in Biotechnology and post-graduated in Environmental Sciences from Fergusson College. She has worked on a Duckweed based treatment project with Mr. Paul Skillicorn.

Ajay Phatak

Ajay has been a trustee and faculty at the Ecological society for last several years and deeply interested in energy, ecology and development. He is a chemical engineer from IIT Bombay. He has earned his masters in computer science and worked in cross disciplinary areas of process control and engineering.

Ajinkya Karale

Ajinkya is an environmental geologist and also an urban farmer. He has a bachelors in geology and masters in environmental sciences from Pune University. 

Sanket Mokashi

Sanket has a bachelor degree in Zoology and masters in Environmental science from Pune University.He has worked in Eco landscaping projects,waterbody rejuvenation projects and worked as flora assistant.

Mahendra Chavan

Mahendra has completed his bachelor's degree in zoology from Pune University and a Master's in Environmental science from Pune University. He has worked on Water Body rejuvenation project and water treatment systems.
